"Spice"
AKC Number: SE087019 Owner: Peggy and Greg DaValt Spice was the one that started it all. She is our foundation bitch. Enroute to her championship she twice defeated the then #1 Gordon Setter. As always, she was owner/handled. Spice was the best!! Spice has been honored by the Gordon Setter Club of America as the "logo" dog on t-shirts that say, "Grace Abounding: Gordon Setter." The photo to the left was used to make the image for the t-shirts. In November of 2001 Spice was again honored as a Great of the Past by Hoflin Publishing Company in their 2001 Gordon Annual. Oh sweet Spice!! We miss you. |

"Storm" Storm was our resident brood bitch for many years. She has produced several lovely children out of Amethyst's Bit o' Power, Ch. Glen Oaks' Firedance o' Amethyst and Ch. Glen Oak's Maltese Falcon, CD, MH. She has pointed offspring, children with hunting title legs, obedience titled offspring and agility-titled offspring. We looked to Storm back in the early 1990s to take us back to the future in the way in which her lines tapped back into the lines Spice hailed from. A combination of the Shojin and MacAlder lines we love so much. |

Dude"
AKC Number: SN676307/02 Breeders: Peggy Cole,
Barbara Meining, DVM and Dee Vayda Born of a frozen implant, Dude's father "Chipper" was also the father of our very first Gordon "Spice" way back in 1984. Dude was our wonderful new addition to Amethyst in August of 2001. He brought back to us the "Old Gordon type and look" that we just loved. Since then he has sired a number of litters, and is the father of our "Keno". We miss him Terribly but his wonderful personality and temperament shines through in his offspring. |

************************************** "Thunder" Thunder is our double-Spice grandson out of our Amethyst's Black 'n' Basic Jazz x Amethyst's Sweet Lady Blaize. Thunder finished his championship owner/handled. He won 1st place in Am-bred at the North Country Gordon Setter Club Show in 1996. He finished under Mr. Carl Liepmann, shown above. Thunder is presently enjoying his retirement down here in Oklahoma. His days consist of playing a little catch with the tennis ball, following a few of the girls around the yard, naps in the sun and naps in the shade (depending of course in the weather) and of course his favorite activity of all, dinner time.
